StoryForge at the Connecticut Film Fest

StoryForge Lab's Steve Lettieri will be participating on two panel sessions at the Connecticut Film Festival in Danbury this week. Here are the details:

Steve will be joined on both panels by Dutch Doscher and Mike Fields.

SciFinal at 80 and Growing!

Last night we listed the 80th show on our SciFinal website. It was Before Judgment the prequel/companion to the After Judgment web series. Hard to believe there are that many independent, science fiction shows out there! When we launched Zerks Log last year we thought we were only one of a few. Boy were we wrong!

Anyways, we're really excited about the response the SciFinal site is getting - both from creators and sci-fi fans. It's gratifying to know we've started something that people are really finding to be a valuable, fun resource. Very cool.

We continue to add features to the site. Like the recently launched ratings system. This week we'll be starting a new section on the site called the "Creator's Corner". It will feature interviews with show creators about their series, how they went about making it, and more.

We've got more planned too. So thanks for visiting and we hope you keep coming back to SciFinal!

SciFinal trailer gets noticed!

We are really pleased with the attention the SciFinal trailer is getting. If you haven't checked it out yet, here's the link: http://www.scifinal.com/trailer. The trailer has garnered over 6,000 views so far and continues to grow each day (as do visits to the SciFinal website. Much of the attention is due to the stories that were written about the SciFinal trailer on Wired.com and io9.com - sites that normally don't spend too much time talking about indy sci-fi. So we were psyched about the coverage!

We also wanted to take a moment to thank all the show creators that provided footage to us (even if we didn't end up using). So thanks!

SciFinal - the last stop for independent sci-fi online - now has over 60 science fiction web series listed and the list keeps on growing every week! Check it out if you haven't arleady. And if you have, come back for another look! ;)

SciFinal Now Live!

SciFinal is now live! The SciFinal website is "the last stop in independent sci-fi online." Our hope is that it becomes THE destination for viewers looking for fun, entertaining sci-fi web series.

There are some greats shows listed on SciFinal already. Shows like: After Judgment, Aidan 5, My Roommate the Cylon, Riese, The Cabonauts, and our own Zerks Log. So stop by and check it out when you get the chance.

More site features will be added soon and new shows too. So please subscribe to site updates or stop by often. Sci-fi web series producers are encouraged to setup a show page. It's free and easy. Just click the "Add a show" button" on the left side of the SciFinal homepage.

StoryForge Labs Now with Intern and Twitter!

We started a company Twitter @StoryForgeLabs to go along with our personal Twitter accounts @stevelettieri, @RobKing21, @c_conway, and @NickZak. We'll be tweeting all things StoryForge as appropriate.

Oh and we might as well take this opportunity to welcome our new intern Nick Zak to the team. Nick is a recent graduate of Hand High School and will be attending St. John's University in the Fall. He'll be interning with us this summer and off & on thereafter.

RIP Abel Farnspet

Our good friend, Dave Condon passed away this week after a 6 year battle with carcinoid cancer. We were lucky enough to have Dave play Abel Farnspet in the intro episode to Zerks Log. Here's a link to his obituary and his episode.

Burn Short to launch The Singularium!

We are in the waning hours of final post-production on our short film entitled Burn. This will be the first episode of our new ongoing, regular series The Singularium. This the place where we'll be featuring our short films and one off content that doesn't fit in any other regular "episodic" space. We'll be launching next week. So stay tuned!

As for Burn... let's just say it involves fire! Here's a pic from a recent shoot we did for the opening sequence:

Been a little while since we posted to the blog. Lots going on in StoryForgeland!

Soon we will be posting all of Zerks Log Season 1 to Youtube. So stay tuned. Speaking of Zerks Log, our actor Ben Alpi was quoted in an article posted on MSN recently, mentioning Zerks and other things he is working on. Here's the link.

Only One More to Go!

We posted Episode 17 of Zerks Log yesterday. Only the Finale left. We will be putting out some additional behind the scenes content after we finish Season 1 (including Ben Alpi's casting video).

A second season of Zerks Log is planned. We'll be putting out a second online comic to bridge the seasons. Lots of fun stuff coming, so stay tuned!

Zerks Unhappy About Being On Probation

Today we posted Episode 16 (of 18) of Zerks Log. Entitled "Probation", this is one of the favorites of our production team. One reason is the return of the worker robot that appeared in Episode 10. The robot in this current episode is specifically outfitted with a security camera. We envision a whole slew of these types of robots buzzing about the Venturi 553 performing various tasks. Below is a comped image of the robot appearing in Episode 16.
